I was most impressed with the fact that she made them all from scratch! Go Jolie!!! She made Paula Dean's recipe for Red Velvet cupcakes and they were fantastic. So amazingly wonderful.
As I unwrapped this decadent birthday treat I took in the smell and flavor as it hit my taste buds. Heaven! I'm most picky about my red velvet cupcakes, but Jolie did not disappoint. The first thing I noticed was how they were a little bit dense, but still very moist. It wasn't the kind of cupcake that immediately crumbles when you take it out of the cupcake wrapper and then you're wasting precious eating time because you're trying to pick up the scattered pieces around. I slowly ate this divine cupcake which had me longing for more minutes after eating the first. I found myself quickly reaching for another - yes, they're that good!
Jolie ought to change up the recipe slightly and then wrap her cupcakes up all pretty and market them. I for one would throw down $ for her yummy treats.
Ahhhhh - I love cupcakes, and I love my friends that remember that I love cupcakes. Thank you Jolie! You're the best and your cupcakes --- yummy!!!
Jolie is a foodie/blogger herself. You can find her blog at Denver Easy Meals Examiner. Enjoy!
